Public Library

The Friendswood Public Library’s book collection consists of over 80,000 items and 180 magazine subscriptions. A collection of popular and educational videotapes, records, CDs, DVDs and audio books get heavy use. Circulation and reference services are computerized.

The local library provides popular titles – over 400 new books and other materials are added monthly. A wide variety of reading materials for both recreational and educational or developmental reading is selected to provide for the reading interests and needs of toddlers through senior citizens.

Computer services are available through sign-up at the reference desk. Use is limited to one hour. Patrons may call and schedule a usage time with the reference staff.

The library at 416 S. Friendswood Dr. is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 9 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.
